Google Photos app crashing?

Is anyone else having any issues with Google Photos? For me it is crashing quite a bit, frequently. I tried the normal stuff (uninstall Photos app updates - crashed on the previous version too, several reboots, etc).

I really don't want to have to try a factory reset, because I just spent so much time setting this up, but I might have to try.

Anyone else seeing any issues?

That's so odd...I've been using the heck out of Photos on my Pixel 2 and it hasn't crashed even once yet. :/ sorry man

And I don't know if it matters, but I chose "Set up as new" when setting the phone up.

Haven't seen this, but have seen the Facebook app crashing quite a bit. Could be because I'm in the beta facebook group...

My instagram crashed yesterday and Twitter crashed today.. but that's it.

So I figured I'd let everyone know, i bit the bullet and did a FDR, and Photos is fine now. Just one of those things I guess. Anyway, if anyone comes across the issue a Factory Reset did the trick ...

I haven't had this issue. Do you have backup on? It should backup most of your settings.

Did you use the *Transfer Tool* in the box that came with the phone?

Would have been mostly a good idea, but I usually like clean installs and I definitely didn't want Photos restored.

Anyway, thanks. I'm gonna keep doing the backups in case I need to restore down the road.
