Google Photos backup frequency

My photos get almost immediately backed up to Google Photos. I often take a photo just to use once for something and then delete it. I don't want immediate backup. Does anyone know if you can adjust the frequency of backups? I can't find anything in the photos app settings.

Nope, it's automatic. If you delete the photo right after you use it, the photo in the cloud will be put in the trash (which means it'll still be restorable for I think 30 days).
