google pics app deleted phones pics

Ok so I was going through Google pics on my phone and hit the free up space button and thought i was cleaning up the photos in google pics. I didn't read the button clearly where it says "device photos". I've googled it and everything i find is talking about restoring deleted photos from google pics, not when google deletes your photos from the phone. It wiped everyhting out that it deemed a duplicate to the pics stored in google. Anyone know if I can recover these?

If I'm reading correctly it sounds like your photos were deleted from the Samsung Gallery app once added to Google Photos. If that's what you meant you can go through Google Photos and add them back to Gallery by clicking the 3 dots in the top right of the photo selected and hit move to device.

Yes, thats exactly what happened. I was hoping there was a bulk way or a way to reverse what was done by not going pic by pic.

Not really a bulk way but you can tap on the day and it’ll select all those pics at once. Just keep tapping on each day. Fastest way I can think of off the top of my head.

Did you find any deleted photos in the trash , I believe they stay for certain amount of days .
