My wife is a long time iPhone user and I am still using my trusty Nexus 6P. We went into Verizon the other day and played around a little bit with the pixel 2 and fell in love with it. The next day we preordered two Pixel 2s with verizon and are switching from sprint next week when we get the phones. Not a single bit of doubt concern for the preorder.
 
Similar to my situation...I ordered a pixel 2 (white 64 GB) on 10/4, says it will ship 11/13, but now they say shipping on 10/22. Wondering the same thing, should i cancel and just re-order? Are they really that stupid that they wouldn't fulfill orders in the order they were received?

Ordered a black 64 GB last night with 10/22 shipping - NOW the white 64 GB is shown as shipping the 22nd - I ordered it and cancelled the black.

More than a phone order - an adventure and I suspect we ain't seen nothing yet.
 
I ordered a black Pixel XL 2 with 128gb on October 4th. I got a ship date of October 24th and delivery October 27-30. I just now looked and the same configuration says "ships by October 22nd". Does this mean my original will ship earlier or should I cancel and just re-order to get an earlier ship/delivery date?? Makes no sense at all.

I would be interested in answer on this as well from folks who have ordered from the Google Store previously. Mine is in the same boat here, identical to yours. Arrival dates for new purchases are listed earlier than my 10/5 order.

This was fairly common last year. There seemed to be no rhyme nor reason for the relationship between the order date and shipping date. I have a phone due to ship on the 22nd, ordered tonight. I'll keep an eye on the shipping date and if it gets moved around I'll be at the Verizon store much quicko.
 
Ordered a Pixel 2 128GB Just Black (Fi), and it says shipping Oct. 23rd, woohoo!
 
I bought the Pixel 2 XL as a guest since I didn’t want to use the card associated with my Google Play account. Is there any way to check the expiration of the card I used? I have the order details, but it only tells me the last 4 of the card, which did not change.

I know I received a new card because my current one was expiring right around the 4th. Silly me, I can’t remember if I used the old one and then activated the new one after, or if I activated before I used it.

I just wanna make sure I don’t find out on the day it’s supposed to ship that the Card info was bad. Haha.

One more question, say I tried to order with the expired card, would it get kicked back like normal, or is it different because it is a preorder?

If the card is expired, Google will let you know during the checkout or when you look at your account. You can also check your credit card statement to see if there was any activity to the account.

That's kind of what I figured. Google knows they'll lose a lot of business if they go straight to cancelling orders.
 
So close now to October 17th, come this Wednesday or Thursday we will be holding the Pixel in our hand. Can't wait

I ordered a Pixel 2 on Oct 4 directly from the Google store. Today when I checked the cart had a message that there was no stock and my order had been removed from the cart. I guess I can live with my Pixel for another year! Buyers remorse decision made for me by Google! ;)

Not sure I understand. Did you actually order? Or just put device in cart?
 
I'm also confused as well, why are some people saying that their order has changed from November to next week, do you guys have an order placed already and the dates were updated? Or is this a new order with a date of October sometime?

I think people are saying that new orders have an ETA sooner than orders already placed.
 
Ordered October 4th a Pixel 2 XL and shipping date is still 10/23.

I could downgrade to a Pixel 2 and get it shipped on the 17th or go up to a Pixel 2 XL 128GB version and it ships a day earlier on the 22nd.
 
I originally ordered the white (back) Pixel 2, but didn't want to wait until mid November, so I switched to black. But today I saw that the white now ships by Oct 23 so I cancelled the black and ordered the white again. So if anyone shied away from the white due to a later shipment, its been recently updated.
 
It says it's out of stock online... How am I able to order?? I currently only see an option to be wait listed.
