Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL Pre Order / Shipping Discussion

i got a text last night saying it was due for delivery today.
went to check the tracking this morning and now says "delayed please contact the sender".

FWIW, Im in Phoenix and mine is coming FedEx from Carol Stream, IL.

Tracking says it arrived at FedEx in Carol Stream IL on Tuesday 10/17 at 1:30 p.m, it left Carol Stream at 1:24 a.m. on 10/18, and is scheduled for delivery 10/20. Just thought it's odd that it says FedEx ground yet will be here 2 days.

I got the email with tracking number from Google after it left the FedEx facility

For those curious, it doesn't look like it was charged yet, just the standard charge and refund of the full amount to test the card. Doesn't even show there's a pending amount on my charge

Does Google force you to sign sign for it? Or can I put a note on the door asking them to leave it like you can when Verizon sends stuff? I'm just trying to figure out if I should have it held at a FedEx location for pickup or not

Turns out that both my 128GB Black Pixel 2 XL and 64GB Black Pixel 2 shipped yesterday afternoon. They were shipped Fedex from Carol Stream and should be delivered tomorrow. So excited!!

I was promised a ship date of 10/25 by Verizon when I ordered my phone on Saturday 10/14. Lo and Behold! My all black 128GB Pixel XL2 shipped on 10/17 with a delivery date of 10/19! I can't wait.

Same here. I doubt we are getting phones today. Nice, Google drops the ball again! I like how people who ordered after me have phones out for delivery today. Who knew the key to pre ordering a phone was waiting up to a week after it is announced then pre ordering it. Makes sense...

I hope so. I'm also in MA, I've got nothing though. Nothing on FedEx manager, nothing on Google store. I just hope when I get into work there is a nice new phone on my desk. I doubt it though, Google is pretty bad at logistics.

I'll have my live case today (which was supposed to deliver on the 26th), but the phone (which was supposed to ship yesterday) doesn't even have a shipping update. ??????

It's possible it still shipped yesterday and you just haven't received notice yet. Last night I tried that link from reddit for both of my orders and it couldn't find anything. I even have Fedex delivery manager and that didn't show anything. Then just before midnight last night I received a shipping email from Google for one of the orders and then a notice for the other order about 3 hours later. Checking the tracking on both orders show they were both actually shipped out yesterday afternoon at the exact same time.

Having dealt with Google in the past, this is pretty much par for the course with them. I'm sure I'll be talking to a rep later on, who will say my phone is on its way even though nothing has been charged yet, and I'll get a platitude of a $5 play store credit for my almost 1K phone. Then it will show up probably next week sometime.

Actually is it them dropping the ball? If they shipped out all at the same time but some get it a day early that's definitely out of their control. The only way it could be in their control is if they gave some 2 day shipping and some 1 day.

I've had packages from Amazon come in 1 day even though they said 2 day. That was fully out of Amazon's hands.
