Google Pixel 2 Camera Shots! Show Us Your Pictures

I find that while a phone's camera influences my purchase I never use it for spontaneous shots. Or interesting ones. It's almost exclusively used on my 2 year old. I'm sure that's somewhat normal but it frustrates me. I see all these interesting shots and think either there is nothing cool in my day to day life or I lack imagination

My pixel just reminded me about this I find it kind of annoying to do it I'd rather hit the button in the camera app to switch to selfie but it does work

I'm the same way. There's all these good shots and I much not think that way. I'll take photos when I can, but there mostly of my son and those won't get posted. Hoping that changes a little, but I definitely do not have an artistic eye.

Did you use (in some of them) digital zoom? because e.g on parrots (and not only) i see they they are unfocused...
I really love this camera, too bad Google XL 2 has screen issues and it is so expensive...

Yes I did use the zoom on several shots. I think they are out of focus due to the fact that I did not touch the screen first to put the birds in focus. I am still learning how to use the camera. They looked in focus on the camera screen but not on the computer screen.

And mostly due to the fact you zoomed....

I take alot of spontaneous shots with my kids, but sometimes I've managed to stage some simple, yet great shots with them. Here's one I took where my kids and one of their friends were looking out. This was at Elephant Rocks in Missouri, and taken with a Nexus 6P, which is still a good camera over 2 years on.

I've taken even better ones than this, but my point is it can be done without much fussing from your child. :)

Nope, the zoom works fine. All zoom lenses change the minimum focusing distance. I was too close. I just got the camera and I have not figured out how far I need to be to take a photo when zoomed in.

Two that I took today on a nice autumnal walk in South London 😀

I was sitting here looking at all these pictures on my V30 wondering what the big deal was.....Then I realized I had my screen brightness at 30%. Much improved at 100%. If the Pixel had a wide angle camera, I'd be on it like a Wisconsin fair goer on deep fried food on a stick. :)

A dreary day, on my last day in VT, I took about a month ago. Love going up there, and eating all the farm to table food!
