Our tree was put up last night, should be decorated tonight. Pics will ensue.

My pic of the chair in the Droid Turbo vs. Pixel 2 XL photo was similar. The auto exposure really brightened the room. The room was not as bright as shown in the Pixel 2 photo. The brightness was actually about halfway between the Turbo and Pixel 2.

I think you have to tilt a little the level of horizon. Pixel 2 is great but i think you can get many times better photo from this sample...

Yeah I find I have to lower exposure on the Pixel in dark scenes. The phone tends to over-brighten dark shots ending up with rather noisy pictures. It's not a problem though since IMO it's easier to darken up an over-brightened scene than it is to brighten up an overly dark scene where nothing got captured.

Tree is not completely set up yet. Only light in the room is from the tree. If you zoom in you can see plenty of detail. My previous phone would have had blurry lights and individual needles would be hard to discern.

Edited: Android Central resized the photo and apparently compressed it as you really can't zoom in very much.
