Shrano, you need to understand the difference between digital zoom and optical zoom.

Yeah. Point being this was NOT an issue on the Samsung but it IS on the Pixel. So if the Pixel is the best camera around, why does it suck for this low light environment, when it was marketed as being awesome in low light?

I prefer the camera on the Pixel 2/2XL. In most of my very amateur pictures, the Pixel 2 has in my opinion produced better looking pictures in all lighting conditions than the Samsung devices I have had in the past (S7, S8+, Note8). If you need really low light capability, then return the Pixel and get an S9+ so you get the very wide aperture on the primary camera as well as a second camera with 2x optical zoom. We have lots of choices on the Android side and don't have to settle for something that doesn't fit our needs.

Hi Shrano. Google is your friend and will explain the differences and what you need to know to get the best from your camera much better than I can. Just Google "digital zoom vs optical zoom" and you should find enough reading to keep you busy for a while!
