how did you do portrait mode on the OG? did you update your camera to the new one?

It's on the OG Pixel. You have to hit the top left menu, and go to "Lens Blur". Also, you then have to follow instructions to pan the camera up after the pic for the depth of field to process. It's a lot more work and probably slightly worse results overall too, but it is there.

I didn't remember/realize it either until a month ago or so. Too much work . The new Portait mode will be much better

Very much so the OG Pixel. The portrait mode blurred out part of his ear and on top of that the tell tale flair at the bottom is a dead giveaway.

I really don't care what the subject is if it is a great photo. Most phone review photos are terrible, meaning we have to rely on the judgment call of the writer rather than our own eyes. So, show us your best shots, and show us what the camera can do.

Not washed out.... Just accurate and not overly saturated/contrasted.
