Google Pixel 2 Camera Shots! Show Us Your Pictures

You usually post pretty good photos, however sometimes, IMO, you massively over cook then in post processing. This is a extreme example of that. The sky is green, loaded with luminance noise the size of boulders. All of the colors are just very weird. Tons of chroma noise and lots of banding. Ringing (halos) and just crazy artifact loaded.

Maybe you were shooting for a psychedelic Art Deco look and that’s certainly ok.
I’ve mentioned on a few of the photos in the past that, IMO, they were way over cooked in post. Jpgs are only 8 bits in depth and can’t handle much without incurring banding and all types of artifacts.
:)
Doing some Orange & Teal photos. Not everything has to be "natural" lol. It's a specific style. This was just a test shot to work on it.

But yeah thanks.

I assume you’re not shooting raw from the looks of that photo.
If you’re going to massively cook them (which is fine of course :) ), considering shooting raw so you actually have some depth to work with. Post P with jpgs usually screws them up. No bit depth. :)

Ultra cute, and that phone camera is the ultimate. I wish I had another tuxedo cat. The last one I had, which actually belonged to a neighbor but constantly visited my grandmother's house in search of more petting, died from a heart attack 5 or 6 years ago (she was an ancient kitty too). This is my favorite thread on AC forums.

While not a tuxedo cat, I discovered this cat sitting outside a local bakery as we were heading home. Apparently, he doesn't leave this spot often! Enjoy!

thanks for the tip..
I'm not printing, just posting to Instagram. And some of these that I post are just stories (which are low quality uploads that last for 24 hours) . Some are good, some aren't. Some are grainy. Some aren't. I take hundreds of photos daily. Pixel doesn't allow for raw shooting, though i know there are third party apps like the new MOMENT app that allows it. If and when the google camera does, I will. It's not that big of a deal.
