Android Central Question

Hi there! I have tried a couple methods for exporting photos onto my PC ( Syncios & USB File Transfer). It appears only a handful of photos exported leaving a bunch on my phone still.

When I try the USB file transfer method and access my DCIM folder, I have several folders displayed but no photos. I am at a loss on how to get the remainder of my photos over.....

Are you sure the pictures are IN your phone? If you're using the Photos app you might be seeing stuff that is only stored in your cloud storage and not necessarily in the phone. Those will not be exported with a local sync to other devices.

If you just drag the folders to your phone, the pictures in them (assuming there are any, and your pictures aren't really at Google Photos, leaving just thumbnails on the phone) will copy over too. Or you could just drag DCIM to your phone, then deal with breaking things up from there. If they're only on Google Photos, go there and download the pictures. (Check the circles in the upper-left corners of the ones you want to download, hit the 3 dots at the upper-right of the screen and select Download.)

Welcome to Android Central! When you connect the phone to the computer via USB, make sure you swipe down the notification panel and tap the USB notification, and then select File Transfer (the default is Charge Only). Then use Windows File Explorer to navigate to the phone's storage. Do you see files in the folders now? They won't show up if the USB connection is set to Charge Only.
