Google pixel 2 search bar

I was using NOVA on any other device that I had but with the pixel 2 i dont.
The search bar opening animation (when you press) and the slide for google feed animation is so much smoother on the pixel launcher then NOVA.
I want to use NOVA but i just cant go with laggy animations :/

Same for me. I don't use Nova Google Companion and am not aware of any way to get the slide for Google Feed but I do see the slow opening animation when hitting the search bar. Part of this might be because Nova displays feed cards below the search bar input when activated while the Pixel launcher does not do this.

I do miss the custom folder/dock/desktop bits of Nova but don't want to lose the Pixel Launcher's oh-so-satisfying smoothness.

I tried again on Nova and could not notice any lag :shrug:

I'll take it. Love the customization of Nova Launcher

Exactly. Your last sentence.. It's not that Nova is laggy, it's just that the pixel launcher is super smooth in the way Nova can't compete with,in my opinion.

I went back to the stock pixel launcher after using Nova Pro for a couple weeks and it is smoother

Last night, I noticed text in the search bar that said "Search app and web...". I was ready to switch to Nova after seeing that

It was still there this morning but disappeared after clicking on the search bar once.
