Recently my 4A will lose connectivity, shows not network. When I go to settings in says no SIM car.
If I restart the phone it works fine but I nenver no when it's gonna happen agsin. Sometimes it happens in the middle of a call.
Tried clearing cache for the sim, didn't help.
Frustrating.

Is this a physical SIM? If so, chances are either the card itself or the port are failing. Try cleaning the SIM tray first, and if that doesn't help, you may have to replace the card.

If this is an eSIM, have you checked with your carrier to see if there aren't any issues on their end?

Yes this is a physical sim card. I'll see about getting a new one. I tried blowing out the port, is there some other way to clean it?
I didn't think a sim car could wear out..?

Any physical card like that can become faulty. I agree with just getting a replacement from your carrier.

The best way to clean a SIM slot is with a can of compressed air.

They can wear over time or even swapping sims often or just poor quality sim and how long it's been in use any liquid contacted or dirt

Like always when you do a google search on any Google phone you don't find much cuz Google phones are just not that popular.
One old thread I found though is someone had the same issue with their 4A, they sent it to Google who changed the motherboard, other people in that thread did the same thing.
Obviously that's not an option now since the 4A is pretty much obsolete but I will order a new SIM car and see what happens. If it doesn't help I guess it's time to look into a newer Pixel.
Wonder if I should get, 8, 8a or 8pro?

I had a look at my sim, has some nice scratches in it, has been used in quite a few phones over the years now that I think of it.
I ordered a new one and for now tried the 'little piece of paper under the card trick', hopefully thatshitty sim.jpg works till the new one arrives.
