Google Pixel and Gear Fit 2

I am not able to get text and email notifications on my Gear Fit 2. Does anyone know how to make this happen.
I was able to set it up on a Samsung Phone.

For starters, have you downloaded the Samsung Gear app? If no, do that first. If yes,

open the app and got to >Notifications>Manage notifications.

Make sure the apps you want sending you notifications are marked appropriately.

Thanks. I did those things and still no notifications. Do you have a Google phone, Samsung or other?

I have the Pixel XL. Frankly I turned off most of the notifications because I was getting to many.

You may try rebooting the Gear Fit to see if that clears it up. I had to do that after setting it up on my Pixel after coming from the Note 7
