Did you order in the US? If so, there was the option for expedited shipping while checking out.

If I remember correctly there were three shipping options... Overnight, 2-day, and Standard. I went with overnight.

I ordered my Pixel XL 128gb Very Silver on 10-8-2016. I am being told in the e mail I received that it will ship on 10-20-2016. I am still hopeful this will be true. I have read somewhere online that the Pixel is built by HTC, does anyone know if this is true?

I got my shipping/tracking number last night, I should have it by the 19th October. So excited!

This just seems crazy that Verizon is getting the pixels to consumers this much faster than Google. There must just be an insane disparity in amount of orders directly from Google vs. Verizon.

Or could be as simple as Verizon does this sort of thing all the time and does it super-well. They probably have a ton of inventory in their warehouses across the country and that better infrastructure allows them to do it better?

Perhaps, but Google has to turn over that inventory to Verizon in order for Verizon to have that high of stockpile to begin with.

I never saw an estimated ship date when I did my order. Where do you get that?

If you ordered directly from Google, just check the status of your order in the Google Store. The estimated delivery date will be highlighted in blue (located under the order date in upper RT)

I'm going to call it god timing...I called my Verizon rep the day I heard of the Note 7 replacement problem on the airplane and said to order me a Pixel XL just in case the Note 7 replacements face a recall...just in time...wish I had a more rugged case option available though for my first weekend with it. My official case from the Google Store won't be here for another week, so ordered an off brand from Amazon that will be here tomorrow.
