Google Pixel XL - Preorder /order/shipping thread

I ordered my phone on 11/27 and was told it would ship on 1/6...just checked my email and was sent a message saying because it is so popular won't be shipped until 3/3...wtf

Ordered my XL 128 gb QB on 11/25 and was told numerous times that it would ship on 1/6. Got the dreaded email about it coming on 3/10 so I called Verizon. The customer service rep kept saying, its not Verizon's fault, its Google's fault. Afterwards, I got him to make my service bill free until I get my phone.

You ordered 5 days after me and are expected to receive 7 days sooner. Verizon sucks

I guess at this point we just wait and see whether it ships before one of the first set of 2017 phones comes out... I just have this vision of me getting my XL in the middle of March, and the Pixel2 being announced the next day. Or even just some other phone with the new Snapdragon chip that's better in every way. I guess we probably won't have the extended return period since it's no longer arriving during the holidays, eh?

Verizon has gotten smart and there is no longer an expected ship date online. The CS rep i talked to after I received the email told me they would not honor my BOGO for another set of phones. He also stated it was an expected ship date and it isn't Verizon's fault I chose such a popular phone.

Ordered mine on the 11/25, was told to be patient and that it would ship on Jan 6th. Just got the notice that I will not have it until March.

Good grief, by the time it's here the next version will already be announced.

Googles fault huh? That's why the google store keeps getting them back in stock? 2 months down payment in advance isn't enough? Ridiculous. Very unhappy.

Ordered Black 32GB XL through Verizon on 12/23 and after having a 1/20 estimated ship date, just got a shipping notice today with an estimated delivery of 1/10! Super excited to get this in hand.

I literally just got the exact same thing! I ordered on 12/22 with a 1/20 ship date. I have been re-thinking the purchase and was going to possibly cancel and re-order the 128GB instead, but then I saw that it shipped today. I get mine on 1/11.

yeah...my order of ONE silver XL 128GB ordered on 12/09 shows shipping on 1/13.....checked today and it shows TWO silver Pixel 128GB XL shipping on 1/13. I only ordered ONE Pixel XL. I am afraid to call and have them check it out for fear they will tell me oh....shipping has been changed to march....

The key phrase here was "Ummm I don't know sir" I really don't think the reps know what is going on....

I ordered a 128GB XL in the store on 12/21 and walked out with a piece of paper that stated mine would ship 1/20. When I login online it states it will ship 2/10. Nothing has changed in two and a half weeks.

Longtime lurker, new poster here...just wanted to share some encouragement for those who are still waiting on their QB XL 128GB. I ordered mine on Black Friday (25 November 2016) from the Verizon website and was given a 6 January 2017 ship date. On 7 January 2017, Verizon updated my order status to reflect a delayed ship date of 10 March 2017. Late last night, my CC was charged $93.42 for taxes and upgrade fee, and this morning I received a VZW text with shipment notification. Verified FedEx tracking info shows it will be delivered to me this Thursday, 12 January 2017. So, there is yet hope. I was SO close to cancelling my order, and am now glad I stuck with it...especially since I had already bought a Pixel XL case and a handful of USB-C adapters!

Quick follow-up...received my QB XL 128GB from FedEx an hour ago. Set-up and Verizon activation went smoothly. Slapped a Diztronic TPU case on it to add a little protection, and now I'm off to the races (so to speak).

I have spent an embarrassing amount of time over the last 6 weeks reviewing these Pixel forums for tips and advice and things to avoid and things to embrace. Greatly appreciate all the time and effort by those who shared their experiences and knowledge with the rest of us.

I hope I get mine close to the est. ship date, like you did. I ordered mine through a Verizon corporate store in central Ohio on 12/16 with an est. ship date of 1/20. So far, no updates have been made on the verizon site, so I'm holding out hope I'll get the device around then, even if I do get the dreaded "You've got great taste!" verizon delay email... Thanks for sharing your story and experience.

Pixel XL 128gb Very Silver ordered @ local Verizon store on 11/26. Original ship date was 1/6. Received an email on 1/5 that the new shipping date was 3/3. As of yesterday the order no longer shows in my Verizon account. Chatted with Verizon support this morning. Was told the shipment date was 3/3, but no explanation for why it no longer shows in my account. The Verizon rep said he could see it still. Will continue to check nowinstock.com and if it shows up will order it directly from the big "G"...
