Got this email 2 days after I preordered the phone.

OK, got my tracking number for my Verizon Black XL 128GB (shipping UPS, Note7 came through FedEx). I knew once the reviews became public, the shippings would begin. If I'm still sick on Thursday, that'll be a bright spot, I'll be at home when they come.

Yeah I understand that. For me it was the ability to get the Daydream VR headset for free with the preorder. Maybe not a big deal but it was an incentive for me.

Verizon is giving the Daydream free as well, just FYI for anyone who ordered it from Verizon. After activating your phone, you can claim it on their site.

Appears Google Store in Europe has started processing orders per the XDA forum. That puts them 8 hours ahead of us in California. Ordered Pixel XL 128 gb Silver about 4 minutes after page went live with expedited shipping. Est 21-24, still in pending hell....

Pre-ordered through Verizon on 10/11. Pixel XL 128 gb black. Received tracking information from FedEx. Delivery time, Wednesday 10/19 by 12 pm.

is this better to order through project fi or the google store?

I think some of that decision depends on if you want insurance.

With Fi you can pay monthly, but when you buy thru the Google Store, you pay all at once.

As many of you are anticipating your phones to ship, I sit here just wishing I could place an order on the Google Play Store for a Black XL 128gb. I have talked to Google both via chat and phone, and they have no estimate as to when they will have more inventory to sell. I was also told today "we have millions of people on the waitlist" I laughed and said millions and she repeated "millions". Can't wait to see the actual numbers.

I ordered a Black 128GB XL through Project Fi on 10/5 since it was sold out on the Play Store at the time and I had been considering switching to Fi anyway. Still "pending" with a 10/26-10/28 estimated delivery. I have refreshed my pinned Play Store tab so many times that it will be a surreal moment when it finally switches to "processing."

Funny how immediately after placing my order I thought to myself, "I bet I'll regret not doing expedited shipping once everyone starts receiving their phones before me..." Yup.

I figure I'm not going to start feeling put upon unless my phone hasn't shown up by the end of the promised delivery window. I wouldn't be surprised if the right to send their phones out first was part of the Verizon negotiated exclusivity contract.

Preordered black 32GB XL from Fi on 10/11. When purchased, it said ship by 10/20, but the "pending" status delivery date has always been 10/27-10/31. Order is still "pending", but Google cleared the funds from my bank earlier today.

I had a lengthy chat with a Project Fi rep, wherein their inventory for that model is also now out. She checked, and presuming she was given decently informed information, they will (and so presumably the Google Store will also) have more of the 128GB model available for ordering around 11/18. Take that for what it's worth, which is the accuracy of a well-meaning rep.

Preordered black 32GB XL from Fi on 10/11. When purchased, it said ship by 10/20, but the "pending" status delivery date has always been 10/27-10/31. Order is still "pending", but Google cleared the funds from my bank earlier today.

If they clear them for shipping on 10/20, you'd likely receive it somewhere in that timeframe if you took the free shipping. I ordered mine there this afternoon with a quoted shipping date of 10/21, and have the same window of delivery (of course, I might be a day closer to a shipping center).
