I just created a new Google account (plan on deleting my old one) and i also hard reseted my phone so i can get into Play Store "fresh and clean".

However, the app updating is incredibly slow. Some of them even stay on Pending for ages.

Do you think it has something to do with me creating the new Google account? It shouldn't affect download speeds, not to mention the phone is fresh just after a factory reset, right?

Any ideas on what's going on?

Thanks.

This one on wifi it happen or data also?

I moved this from the General News forum to the General Help forum.

Which phone do you have? How good is your network signal when you're trying to update?

I have LG G7 and a very fast Wi-Fi signal.

Does it have something to do with the new Google account? Do the app update speeds rely on co-dependency between the Google account and Play Store?

No, that shouldn't matter. Are you able to test it on a different wi-fi network? Fast wi-fi download speeds on one device on the network doesn't always mean another device will have the same speed.

It might also be that the Play Store itself and Google Play Services are busy updating in the background before your other apps can update. Since you factory reset the phone, the Play Store and Google Play Services would've reverted back to their factory-installed versions, and would need to be updated back to the current version.

I've had that issue on multiple phones with our fast wifi, every single time a phone restart fixes the problem. It also doesn't happen that often, and seems to happen after the phones have been on all day. I have auto updates turned off and manually update the phones in the evening. Like B said, I suspect something on Google's end ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Looks like it was my Wi-Fi signal as this morning I managed to update the apps without any hiccups (except Android Sys Webview - for whatever reason that sometimes refuses to update manually when i click on it and also takes ages to install).

Thanks for helping, everyone!

Thats why I mentioned if it happens on data also so you could try rebooting the wifi router. But glad its good now.
