Google Play books

I purchased a book through Google Play, had it downloaded to my s7 and s2 tablet to read offline. I accidentally deleted the book. It still shows that I paid for it and will let me read online but can't redownload it to my devices. I really want to be able to finish the book offline. Any thoughts?

Open the Play Books app, tap Library at the bottom, and then tap the 3 vertical dot menu button associated with one of your books. Is there a Download option? If so, are you saying that tapping that option doesn't do anything?

thanks for the write back, it's not in my library anymore. when I search for the book it pops up and shows that I purchased it, but when I tap the 3 dots the only ootion is read, no download. need that for offline reading but so far I'm drawing blanks
