I am confused as to why billydan thinks the order was cancelled due to it being in Canada. The email does not say that, it simply says that the address you provided didn't meet their criteria. Maybe you had a PO box listed in your address. Maybe you used an abbreviation that made it look to them that you were in the territories. David never said, sorry dude we didn't think Canada was an approved country.

No PO box, no abbreviation. I used the exact same address for where my Nexus 4 was sent when I purchased it back in Nov.

As my address was clearly in Canada, and with them replying that my address (in Canada) was not approved, yes, this is them screwing up.....

I am inclined to agree. Since we don't know which month as well, one could assume this one, but everyone knows what happens when you assume... it makes it hard for anyone just reading the post to help figure out the problem. Let's assume March though. The 24th was a Sunday. Most shipping does not happen on Sunday, so either moving it back to Saturday the 23rd, 3 shipping days would have been the 26th. 5 days would be today. Now calendar wise, February works out the same. My point is, whenever something is shipped, look at the calendar, and circle the last possible day for it to arrive, ignoring Sundays, and depending on shipping method, I wouldn't really count Saturdays as well.

When I bought, the invoice stated "Ships by March 24, 2013. 1 Nexus 4 (16GB) $359.00 ". This is the direct quote from the order. They created this, not I.

I called on the 25th because I did not receive a tracking number. When something is supposed to ship by a certain date, it makes sense to follow-up.

What's wrong with Apples customer care? I love it.

I believe he was referring to the "I wish you the best of luck with Yahoo/Bing" comment. As in, "I wish you the best of luck with iOS or Windows Phone or Blackberry." Not commenting on their customer service.

Oh, he was saying iOS is bad? Right gotcha.

I think the implication could be taken as in, "If you don't like Android, GTFO and try something else". There are times I feel that way towards some commentators, but generally I like that people have ideas to make improvements, even if they only voice them in the form of complaints. We'd have to be stupid to think that any OS is perfect. The OP here entitled his post in a way that puts him at odds with the majority of Android and Google fans (surprise, there are a lot in the forums), even those that agree that Google's merchandise delivery system can use some MAJOR work if it wants to be a contender.

Also, since I can't hold it in: GEEZ You're so touchy! ;)

Edit: Also, you could be right and that person could be overly judgmental; but I like to give people the benefit of the doubt sometimes in written context, because we can't see their facial and body language to give us better clues.

In business, not every customer is worth acquiring and/or keeping. There are some who the cost to serve is higher than the profit margin.

Just a random thought on a Friday morning.

Gosh, I mean, I'm here and reading this :p
Yes, I meant that as a joke. I wasn't trying to say "oh, so you don't like Google? Then f**k off!". That wasn't my intention.

I'm quite frustrated with them myself right now. I ordered a Nexus 4 on the 26th to replace a defective one I returned to another merchant. When I placed my order, the website said that the device would ship by the 29th (it has since changed to the 3-5 days). Keeping both of these in mind, I waited patiently, simply checking my Google Wallet periodically for any changes. This evening, I found that my order had been cancelled, with the error message: Comments from Google: User Item Limit Exceeded. This is a bit surprising, because I ordered exactly one Nexus 4. So I called. The first guy told me to check my Wallet information to make sure it was correct. I was skeptical that this was the problem, since that wouldn't have much to do with an item limit, but I did as instructed and called back. The second person I spoke with talked to a Wallet specialist, who said that the error message was unusual and I should just try again in 48 hours. I'm rather reluctant to do that, since no one at Google has been able to tell me why the order was cancelled in the first place, and it could always happen again.

I guess everyone makes mistakes, but Google's device order and shipping system needs some help.
