Google Play Music Issue

Within maybe the past two or three days, something kind of annoying has begun happening with the Play Music app on my phone. I'll stop in the middle of a podcast, and when I return to it much later, instead of starting from where it left off like it always used to, it now starts over from the beginning. Has anybody else experienced this? Do you have an idea of what might be causing this to happen?

I would try to clear cache and app data on the app

Tried it and nothing changed, but thanks for the suggestion.
