Hey, All,

So,

The Pixel 2 is a Google phone.
Google makes Google Play Music.
Google Play Music offers lyrics online via the web.

Barring 3rd party apps like Music Match, Why is there no way to easily and cleanly view lyrics to the songs I am listening to on Google Play Music on my Pixel 2?

It seems that this should be baked in as a basic feature of at least the app....

I guess I'm just jealous that Spotify is an inferior service (overall), yet they offer real-time streaming/scrolling lyrics in their Android app.

Thanks,

Matt.

I have not seen this on any phone so I'm guessing it's not built in. I can't say I'd find it useful as I usually listen through Google play music when driving or morning so I can't look at the screen anyway. However, I could see it's usefulness to others so maybe it's worth suggesting it to Google.

MusicMatch is it pretty much. I never understood why GPM doesn't have it as an option. Course the GPM podcast player is not much either. So for lyrics its MusicMatch, and for pod casts its Pocket Casts. Even the Google Assistant podcast systems is better than GPM's. But I am digressing badly here....

Amazon Music also has lyrics that come on screen as well. I hadn't heard the name MusicMatch in forever.
