Google play not filling to whole screen

There is blank areas on the side and it is not how Google play should be as you will see in the picture I am using a samsuhg galaxy tab a 10.1 smt580

That's normal. It looks like that on my Pixel C as well.

The app layout is designed for the portrait orientation.
For this app, making it wider does not gain you anything.
