Google play on coby mid7042

My nephew got a coby mid7042 for his birthday awhile back and has not been able to put Google play on it. The tablet is running 4.0 so I figured it could be done. Am I just nuts, or is there a way to get Google play on it?

That would make sense but no, the problem is that the tablet doesn't support Google accounts. Thanks though.
