Google Play Refund - how long does it actually take?

I accidentally purchased an app (I'm an absolute *****, don't even ask how I did that) and I needed the money for travel to work but it got taken straight away via debit card. How long does the money actually take to appear in your bank account after getting the refund approved?

Depends on the bank, but once the refund is approved it usually takes 3 to 5 business days.
This from the Google site for debit/credit:

3–5 business days

Processing time can be affected by the card issuer and sometimes takes up to 10 business days.

If your credit card is no longer active, refunds will go to the bank that issued your card. Contact the bank to recover funds.
