Can anyone help me figure out why my Google Play services would be using 23% of my battery. I went from 60 to 45% in literally like 15 to 30 minutes it's been wet locked for like an hour and a half today and use about four and a half hours of Total battery. When my screen is using the one that uses most of the battery.

My google play rarely makes my usage list. Are you set to auto update apps? If you have a lot of apps they could be updating frequently. Might check that is set to manual update , see if it helps. I believe google play also is in control of operating certain apps without this control those apps wouldn't work. Maybe your heavy in that area. I don't have a ton of apps and have a pretty big list of app updates waiting for me at the play store. I see no reason to update as a regular routine regarding those apps. Some yes, most nah.

Thank you I was able to solve it by clearing the date of Google Play services for some reason it was using almost 40 to 50% of my battery. After clearing the data Andrea cheese in my Google account for backup. And in the night with 42%.

My Google Play services versus Now using 20% only after 2 hours of being on. I can understand it but I don't have my apps set to auto-update I only have them set the auto update when on Wi-Fi. And I'm trying to figure it out because at the end of day it seems like with Google services is keeping my phone awake for like hour and a half this morning and here are some screenshots I'm about to this morning.

Google Services (not Google Play Services) is most of Android. It may be running to update apps, but it also may be running to do a lot of other things. Thank Google for combining many small apps, that we could figure out, with one huge one so we can't.

So are you telling me there's no way to find out why it's using so much battery.

Seriously isn't anyone else not having an issue with Google Play services because it seems to be draining battery rapidly. Like I said we get 1% during an hour if I'm not using my phone at all this morning I literally had my battery drain down 10% in an hour. And Google Play services was at 60%. Sorry restart my phone and now it's going all Haywire.

Recently I've been having problems with Google play services draining the battery. I've got the one m8 had it for 2 years, never had a problem with Google play services. Must be something google is doing.
GOOGLE, STOP MESSING WITH MY PHONE. THIS IS MY PHONE NOT YOURS.

I fully agree with you my Google Play services using 28% of my battery right now screen on time is only 11% because I've only been on the phone about 15 minutes. I feel like this happened after the most recent security update. And I am on the HTC 10 recently he says he's been really good at doing the security updates however the last two I feel like it really ramped-up Google services.

I'm still running kitkat 4.4.4. I haven't had any security updates. So in my case it's not that. Started to disable and uninstall some google apps to see if that makes a difference.
