Google Play Store- Connection Time Out- Retry?

Kudos for going back and forth with Google. I couldn't find out how to contact them. Still having issues, can't purchase anything. Google help me give you money!!!

I just read that there's a new version of Play Store rolling out (v 4.6.16). I haven't received it yet, but I wonder if it will fix the problem? If anyone get it, let us know your results.

Do you have multiple google accounts on your device? Did you recently switch one of your accounts to the other login? In the Play App, click the Play Store shopping bag on the top left. Switch to the other login and see if that resolves it.

Under Settings/Date&Time, uncheck the "Automatic date & time - Use Network-provided Time" and "Automatic time zone - Use network-provided time zone".

One retry for the Play Store and it's now working.

Not ideal, but it worked for me.

That doesn't work.....................

Had the same problem for about a month. Seems strange that Google wouldn't be more on top of something that limits access to their store. Makes me wonder if anyone is paying attention

The frustrating part about this is Google is very aware it is an ongoing problem for many people..
I sent them a link to this thread a couple of weeks ago..
When you read their replies they send when corresponding with you, it's as if they don't even read what you are saying..
I accidentally deleted my email with them but it was a joke with all the back and forth, accomplishing nothing.
Rambling on about do this and this when you just told them that you had already tried all that..
I would think it would be an embarrassment for them..
I'm still unable to connect to Play Store.
It's just strange you can still get app updates, see my apps, wish list and so on..
But can not connect to Play store!
I doubt we will see any resolution until they are faced with more complaints.
Ok, that's my ramble for the day.

I did find one email I received after telling them it was working..
It worked for 1 day..
If you read it you can see she never even read what I said prior to sending this reply..

Hey Sonny,

Thanks for getting back to me. I know you indicated that multiple users are experiencing the same problem and have posted onto the forum you sent me the link to. However, at this time I'd really like to focus on the issues you're experiencing on your device specifically. Google is working on this issue in a broader sense but I really want to see if we can't get your device up and running correctly in the meantime. I understand you've posted the exact steps and error messages in the forum, but in the interest of expediting the process and getting your device fixed, if you could provide a little more information for me, I'd be more than happy to continue troubleshooting with you.
What troubleshooting steps have you tried?
What error message are you getting when you try to connect to the Play Store?
Is this only happening on your device or are you having trouble with accessing the Google Play Webstore too?
Is it happening on both WiFi and carrier data?
If you have any additional questions or information, feel free to reply to this e-mail and I'll be happy to help. Or if you prefer to call us, you can reach us at 855-836-3987.

Have a great day,
Katie

I'm not able to connect to the play store.. It says "connection Timed Out"... Retry.. AT&T Samsung Note 3
I have cleared the cache, data, force stop also uninstalled play store updates, Checked time and date, and everything else I can find in searches to do..
The strange thing is it still auto updates and I can type in the search bar on the play store search option and open it that way...
I've tried it with WiFi and network but nothing works.. Continue to get, "Connection Timed Out"... Retry..
Running Nova Prime Launcher..
I have done system backups in nova but not sure what I will loose if I do a restore..
Any help appreciated...
Thanks....

I also had this problem I removed my Gmail account from phone sync in options then go to play store after clearing it's catche an sign in there worked for me

This error makes me want to actually club baby seals. I have hundreds of dollars in purchases from the Play Store on this account. I'm not just going to use my other account Google!

Haha! My bad. Is everyone here still experiencing the issue? I tried Google Support and she literally gave up lol.

Hi, I got my timed out issue settled. (Samsung Note3)
I used to get Google Play working on WIFI only, then this morning even WIFI hit the same error.

This is how I get it working:

go to Settings>>General>>Accounts>>Google>>Click on your account email address>>Remove Account.

After you remove the account, leave it with no account, then get into Google Play apps, it will prompt you to create new account or login with existing account.
Login with your existing account, and its working. Tried on WIFI & LTE, both are working fine now.

Cheers! :D

Well good luck on keeping it working. Removing my account was the first thing I tried, over a month ago. It didn't help. I tried some other things and got it working temporarily, but it didn't stick. I have given up.

Same brother, I too have given up all hope. At least I can still update my apps and such but browsing the store is a thing of the past it seems. Oh well I guess I don't really need any of that crap anyway! VZW Moto X 4.4.2 and N7 2013 4.4.2 both with newest play store update still not working after a month. "Connection Timed Out" will never go away.
