Worked for me too except Download Manager was not the last task, it was in alphabetical order I think, and it was enabled but I turned off and on for good measure and cleared its data (which also clears the cache I believe) too.

Google play dont work!how to fix please. I download an app from it , but when it finishes downloading it doesnt install ,instead its going back to downloading again .. it just keep doing that !please help!

Dont listen to any of these ppl!

Domt even listen tomthese people abot deleting this and that or force stopping and what not.... i spent 3 days messing with my tablet trying to get google play store to work. Its a problem on googles end and it wont be fixed for some time is what im told! You want a real fix then here it is, download and use amazon play store its the same exact thing except it works!! If your a die hard google fan then at least this will tide you over till they figure out the problem. Now get to downloading!! just google "download amazon play store"

Update the date and time on your device

Following these steps will sync your device with our servers.

Open your device's main Settings app.
Touch Date and time.
If you see "Automatic date & time" and "Automatic time zone," uncheck them.
Manually change the date and time, so that they are incorrect.
Tap the Home Screen button.
Go back to your Date and time settings (repeat steps 1 & 2).
Manually change the date and time, so that they are correct.
Re-check the boxes for "Automatic date & time" and "Automatic time zone."

This was the only thing that worked for me and I cannot believe it!!! I noticed this morning my time on my phone and widgets were wrong.
As well as Google widget and GOOGLE PLAY STORE NOT WORKING> But this worked !!!! The last post about resetting date and time in your phone ! I somehow had automatic time and date not checked and when I checked it my phone came back to life !!!! THANK U SO MUCH
