Google play systems update to May

Saw that I had a slew of Google service apps to update so I gave a whirl on checking for system updates.

Low and behold there was a decent sized update. However, after reboot I checked again and it still showed April 1st. Did another system check and there was a smaller update. After both these updates I'm now at May 1st.

Had you been checking regularly? I find that the Google Play system updates often don't seem to install automatically. There have been a number of times when I happened to check that menu, and was greeted by a screen telling me to restart in order to install the latest update.

I understand its all device on android 10 or up, supposedly give update to 12 module without os updates or monthly securty updates without manufacturers interference , funny my Note20U is may and month behind .

I have no idea what google play update is for but I am on version June1, 2021.

On a pixel 5? Hmm I'm still on May 1. Maybe because I'm on 12 beta?
