Google Play updates procedure changed since update

I have my Play updates set to notify me but not to update automatically.

Since the recent Volte update, when I am notified of an app update I tap on the notification and nothing happens and the notification disappears.

Previously when I tapped on the notification it would open Google Play and take me to the update screen.

Anyone else having this? Is there a way to fix it?

Try going to Settings>Apps>All, select Google Play Store, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now try again.
