Google Play Updates

Why does it take so long anymore to install the Google Play app updates to the phone? It's not the download. It's the installation to phone. It was a lot quicker on the previous HTC phones I've had.

I've noticed the install is slow, but only for Google apps. Other apps download and install very quickly. Even large games.
