Funny thing is, except for the Google Play at the top, it looks exactly like the current Market.

It's just rebranding. Funny to read comments on the Market about the sky falling, though.

The only thing I think was a mistake in all this was breaking old Market shortcuts. A lot of people not paying attention to the news are going to be confused.

Reading some interviews it looks like it may be a new privacy policy being snuck in under new branding to avoid the criticism they got with the last privacy change.

Those were just for a certain amount of time and I'm guessing they'll be back eventually.

Those were a one-week special. There was even a countdown of the days remaining within the Play Store.

Well, I guess there are some advantages in being late to the party, since I won't know what I missed.

Google play? Why sounds just like for games only? In my view it is a dull name…... Market sounded much better and had a better description and the fact that Music, Books, and Movies doesn’t work outside the US ….while iTunes works worldwide. Does Google need to think something seriously ?
