Google reading last 5 texts

I have the most recent Google now build and this won't work for me when I give the command I'm supposed to give, "Show me my messages." I'm on tmobile. I use messenger, hangouts, and sometimes Textra. Anyone else having this problem? Do I need to have anything special activated to make this work? Thanks.

It doesn't work for me. But I use Hangouts for SMS and it is documented that hangouts is not supported for this feature.

Every time I do it, no matter what I'm using, it just says no messages found.

Which one is set as your default? I just use the built in messenger and I just tested it as working.

I use hangouts or messenger. Neither work when set to default.

I'm wondering if this is a T-Mobile problem. I called my mother and asked her to check her T-Mobile Nexus 5 and it doesn't work for her either.
