I desperately want one of these to power my living room speakers. Please Google, let us know where the product stands?

I'm hoping they will give us an update on it soon too.

I know they went back to the drawing board a little. Hopefully they are adding extra abilities like home automation to make the price seem more worth it. I wouldn't mind a version without the amp either. That could reduce the cost for those hooking it up to their existing system. But still have the option of getting it with the amp for those satellite locations with just speakers.

I just came to the realization yesterday that they may (re)announce it on the 29th. Makes sense, right?

If they found a use for it, then it makes more sense than it did last time. I'm pretty loyal to Google, and I'll pretty much snatch up any Nexus device just to play around with, but I don't think I need a $300 YouTube player, or 50" Angry Birds. Especially when a Roku 2 XS is under $100.

That's how I felt when they presented it, like it was not clear why you should buy a Nexus Q and it had very little features for a $300 device, specially considering you can get something like an AppleTV for $99. I sure hope they revamp it and announce it on Monday and that the price has also been cut.

I really wanted one too. I am in the process of setting up a music server in my house and this would be perfect.

If you were lucky enough to have "bought" one first time around, you ended up getting it for free!
