Google Search and Browse Launch

[Android Central Question]

I'm trying to figure out how can I change which browser opens when I search items using the Google search bar.

My default browser is the Samsung browser. Every time I search with the Google search bar it launches a generic browser. Once open, I have to go into the menu and select Samsung browser for it to switch over to it every time.

I'm using a S20 Ultra.

Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! Open the Google app, then tap More at the lower right, then General, and turn off the toggle for "Open web pages in the app."

See my attached pic. It sounds like it's opening links in the app rather than going to a browser. Uncheck this option by opening Google search by touching the G>3 dots More>gear icon Settings>General>uncheck option.

Go to settings>apps>default apps>choose your default browser
