Google Search Tab recent update

So after the new update, it continually says something different on the search tab and in the google now page (examples are: "try saying weather" or "try saying maps of LA". )This is aesthetically displeasing and just plain annoying. Any way to get rid of it, does it go away eventually?

That will probably go away after a set period of time. Usually, if you're just starting to use a new phone, the search bar will display "Say 'Ok Google'.", but after several days, it disappears on its own.

Had the phone for two weeks. Hopefully you are right and it will disappear soon enough

Maybe you need to do a few searches to make it go away. Mine did that in the beginning also. It could be possible also that you don't have your Google search history set to save searches.
