What genius decided on the layout of the Google Search Widget in the latest update?

A camera icon for Google Lens has been added alongside the microphone icon for voice input.

Fine!

But the Lens icon is to the RIGHT of the microphone, near the edge of the screen!

This means that a concious effort has to be made to move AWAY from the edge of the screen to select the microphone.

I have used Lens twice ever. I use the microphone twenty or thirty time every day. It makes no sense to create such an inconvenient and annoying interface.

So many 3rd party widget to everyone liking if stock ones dont like ?

Welcome to Android Central! Which device do you have? Can you show us a screenshot? http://forums.androidcentral.com/ge...ide-how-post-screenshots-android-central.html. The Google search bar widget on my Pixel 3a XL doesn't have that.

Or are you talking about the Google Discovery page? I see the camera icon there.
