Google Talk servers

Is anyone else getting a Lost Connection to Servers error about every 5 minutes? I have my Google Talk open and I'm in a conversation. I let my screen go black, I don't know if that's the problem or not, but then when I come back sometimes the error message is at the bottom of my chat that I have open. It's quite annoying and I'm worried it might not be delivering my messages while the error message is up. Anyone have any ideas to fix it or maybe stop the connection from disconnecting?

Are you on wifi?
Perhaps you want to set your Wifi Sleep policy to NEVER.

Nah, I'm not on WiFi. I'm using Sprint's 3G network.
