Google tasks not syncing from phone to PC

First, I'm new to android. My issue is that the tasks that I create on the calendar on my phone are not showing up on my Google calendar on my PC. My appointments are syncing fine but my tasks are not showing up. I've played with settings and I've even deleted and put back my Google and Gmail accounts and I still have the same problem. Can anyone please help?

Make sure that Tasks is selected in your Google account sync options. For some reason it defaults to off.

I don't see that option listed. The calendar is listed but not tasks.

Yes, please explain where it needs to be synched: on phone or on PC. Tips on how to navigate to that setting would be useful.

I'm having the same problem. I've synced Google tasks on my phone and on my computer for years, but this week it stopped working. I don't know why. Nothing (nothing that I know of, anyway) has changed. Any ideas, suggestions, tips?
