google tv box to run a slideshow of pictures for a network share

Hello, I have a couple different google tv boxes, a variety of models. All run Android and for the most part, only use netflix and kodi with them. I would like to find an app or config that will run a slideshow of personal pictures when the box is idle. These pictures are stored on a file server in my home using a basic windows folder share. Anyone doing anything like this? I found a couple apps that I tried, some require you to launch the slide show manually, others only use cloud photo services and don't work with local network shares. Found one I thought was gonna be it, but its defective, won't let me enter a server name for credentials

Any input or tips would be greatly appreciated!!!
