Google TV Honeycomb 3.1 questions

So now that the Logitech Revue is due to get Honeycomb 3.1 does that mean that you can use all types of Android apps on it? Will we be able to run emulators on it?

As I understand it, developers will be able to choose what devices their apps will work on. The apps will be in three catagories. Those being phones, tablets and TVs.

The Revue has access to the entire Android Marketplace in the 3.1 update. However, just like any other device if you try to install an application if it's not supported then it will not install because it's not supported.

When you go to upload an android application on the marketplace though you can prevent certain devices from installing them on your device. It lists every device available, you can even block certain countries and languages.

Now if you side load the application (i.e. Go into the settings and allow "unknown applications" to be installed and launch the .apk to install through the package manager) then it will most certainly install however, it won't always work perfectly and may force close.
