google voice help?

When I call my office phone or my wifes office phone with my optimus V, the caller id shows my google number as I would expect. When I call my wifes cell number (also an optimus V) she sees my cell number on the caller ID. Whats going on here?

I had the same problem. I realized that it was because I was dialing a local number without an area code. If I dialed the number with the area code, my phone would use Google Voice.
