Google Voice not dialing calls anymore....

I searched and found a few references to this but no resolution. When setting up Google Voice on an Android device to dial all calls, why would this work for a few weeks and then all of a sudden stop?

Just found the answer on the Google Voice Help Forum. When manually dialing a number, if you do not dial the area code, the GV app will not dial the call.

Isn't dialing the area code mandatory anyway?

Depends on where you live (in the US anyway).

Google voice will only rarely call any of my contacts. When I first started I could tell it"open battery"but those days are over now it just staresatme and laughs.
