Google Voice not sending voice mails for hours

For some reason my Google Voice does not send my voice mails very quickly. I have background data enabled, sync on. It will sometimes take over an hour for the message to come through. Any help?

I heard the guy that listens to all the Google voice mails is backed up.

Seriously though, how's your signal strength when this is happening?

You can have Google Voice send the transcribed voice mails via email or SMS. Try turning both on and see who wins.
