Google Voice on Rooted Infuse issues

I've looked through the previous threads, but can't seem to find one addressing my concern, but my search-fu may be weak, so I apologize in advance.

I have rooted my infuse. One thing I really missed was the lack of visual voicemail. So, taking advice I found on these forums, I downloaded and set up Google voice.

I have added the google voice mail widget and it says to "sign in to see voice mail," however, every time I try to sign in, I have to go through the entire set up process over again, rather than just being able to sign in. Even without the widget, my access to the app seems random. Clicking on the app button will sometimes sign me in immediately while other times I end up having to go through the whole setup process all over again.

As a note, my phone number is forwarding correctly and I can retrieve my messages from the web and from email on my phone. I just can't do it from the widget or the app itself. So, I know the messages are going through correctly regardless of whether people dial my cell number or my google number. Therefore, the problem seems to be with the sign in process on the app.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Is this because I have it rooted? Do I need to do something special to get the sign in to work properly?

My Infuse is rooted and I use Google Voice without any problems. I'm not sure about the widget, though. I don't use it. I just have the app shortcut on my screen. Is that the same?

Interesting. For some reason. I have the same problem even if I use the app directly. After rooting, did you do anything special to the phone. The only thing I did with the root was freeze the AT&T bloatware. Is there an AT&T app I need to keep on, by any chance?

I am also rooted, and have no issues with using Google Voice. I didn't do anything special, by any means after rooting. Its worked great on Stock and MIUI ROM, no special configuration needed.

I did no freezing at all. I just rooted to add a couple of apps.
