google voice or device's number promt!

Using an LG G5 running nougat.

On verizon if that matters....but my stock dialer keeps adding a prompt to select either google voice or devices number for out going call. I got rid of this prompt before but can not recall how I did it. Every time GV updates now it does this...how to get rid of the prompt and not uninstall or deactivate GV?

Hmm, that used to be a setting in the Voice app. I can't link my GV number to my cell phone as my cell is a Fi phone (basically GV but linked directly to a physical phone) so maybe that's a setting that's only available once that link is made? It WAS in the settings of the Voice app.
