So I want to set up a Google Voice number that I can use for my business. My question is when it rings to my cellphone (which would be my personal phone) will it distinguish itself somehow from a regular incoming call so I know it is coming from my Google number? Or how does that work.

You can opt for it to show your voice number when it rings. So you then know its coming into the business line. Otherwise it'll just show the reg caller id and you won't be able to distinguish the two

You could also set Google Voice to screen the calls for you. So when you pick up the phone it will screen the call and ask if you will accept the call by pressing 1. It's kind of an annoyance but it would definitely be a clear sign that the call is coming through your Google Voice number when you answer the phone.

I am doing something similar, and this is how I handle it.

Just a word of advice... Be sure that you understand all the features of Google Voice before implemented the phone number on business cards and other such features. It does have its limitations like anything else...

... Sent from my tablet, please excuse any typos...
