I seem to go through this every time I configure a new phone...
How do I get the icon shown in the attached picture to be shown on my Home Screen??

Which phone is that? And I assume the pic you're showing is from before, and you're trying to remember how you did that in the first place?

EDIT: From your other thread, you mentioned that you have an S24+ now, and used to have an S10. Is that pic from the S10?

You have to add it as a widget. Long press the home screen, select Widgets, scroll until you find Google, expand it and you should see a widget called search.

I checked there and was only able to see these options:

And to add to the mystery when I go to the app drawer and type in "Voice Search" I am able to find the app & even use the app. I just can't get to it any other way - much less put the Icon onto my Homescreen (see attached)

I have a workaround

You have to use a 3rd party launcher like Nova, use search bar and resize it and in the search bar highlight only voice and search , I'll show an example

Hmm, you may be onto something - I used to use Nova Launcher - I wonder if that's how I got that Icon. I think I'll reinstall it and tinker around a bit.

Let me know if u need help setting that up in Nova but tinker with it a little

Actually I was able to pick a current Google Widget (without Nova) and resize it down to a double-wide and picked up the Microphone/Search Functionality
Not exactly what I'm looking for but it's pretty close.

Very cool, I just added that widget to my homescreen. Thanks for the tip.

If you want to get super OCD (like I have been known to be...) You can customize the shading and color via Google Settings. I ended up with this:

** Here is the solution **

I had this same issue myself | Found the solution myself | But so thought I may aswell post it here to help others (+remind myself in the future):

1) You have to long-press on the Google Icon/App on your home screen... Which by doing so then displays ''Voice Search'' + ''Search''.

2) You can then drag & drop those icons from that menu, onto your home screen, and they appear as standalone icons/apps :: Enabling you to have the Voice-Search Icon (exactly as per your phone)
