Google Voice Search Question

When ever I do a Google voice search the results of said search are read back aloud by Google. This is irritating to me.

How do I stop Google from reading back the results? I've tried all I can think of with no success.

I use Duck Duck Go for browsing but sometimes the Google voice search is more convenient.

Go to your Google Settings and tap on Voice. There you should see "Speech output" option. Select 'None' and done!

Thanks. I looked at that before and now feel dumb for not trying it out before starting a thread. The options were "full" or "none".

I've done that. My setting is on NONE, yet Google is still reading back my search results. Any idea how to shut it up?

Clear the cache, Then force stop app try again.

click on settings, in google app, then google assistant, general, then tirn off google assistant, thats it

You can reset the Google app by clearing it data then force stop it incase you touched something by accident this should reset it
