Hey folks, I'm hoping for some insight to a little problem that's turned up recently.
I've been using Google Voice just for voicemail, with my own number. Recently, when someone has tried calling me and I don;t answer, instead of getting my greeting and the option to leave a message, they get asked to enter the number they wish to call. If they enter my number again, they get taken to my voicemail and can leave a message, and it shows up in my GV inbox.
I checked all my settings in the app and online and everything appears to be normal. Then I deactivated and re-activated GV on my phone and the problem is still there. Currently I;ve deactivated it and am using the regular voicemail through verizon. That's fine, I guess, but the ease of the GV app for managing my voicemail has me longing for the good ol' days. A search around the web on various forums have shown similar problems with other folks, most on Verizon it seems.
Any thoughts or people with a similar issue? My DX is completely stock. Not rooted.
